PickedLooks

Thursday, March 23, 2017

Recently, Netflix has added one of my favorite TV shows, Project Runway. Wooohooo! Oh how I’ve missed this show, so much for reliving my dream to become a fashion stylist/designer.  I can’t believe that they are actually on to their season 16, they are still looking for applicants. Wow! Looking forward to watching it!

Anyway, I’m not actually going to relive my love for the show but to talk about an episode that strikes me. It was this episode wherein the contestants’ challenge is to transform these hideous bridesmaids’ dresses (not the photo above) to something high fashion. Check it out here.

Looking at those dresses, I thought, thankfully, I had never been a bridesmaid in my life. I don’t know how I would feel if a friend of mine asks me to be her maid and insists on me wearing a hideous dress like that. Lol! Then, I thought, I would never let anyone, including my bridesmaids dresses be as disastrous as those dress. I will ensure that everyone will be happy like I am and not regretting on attending my wedding.

Not that I’m currently planning my church wedding, but the moment I got married (civilly), I’ve created a board on my pinterest on Wedding Inspo. It got tons of pins, from wedding dresses, themes, bridesmaid dress, favors, invites, groom’s suit, all the inspiration I need if we set a date anytime now are already there. (If you have not followed me yet on Pinterest, click here.) Up until now I still keep on browsing and looking for inspirations for my future church wedding.

The recent inspiration I found is from Pickedlooks. Pickedlooks is a most trusted dress store that designs ball dresses, prom dresses, formal dresses and evening dresses in New Zealand. They offer an enhanced boutique experience online with a wide range of beautiful dresses and fancy accessories. Check more details here.

Here are few of my favorite looks:

These three long ball dresses above are elegantly simple and has the right amount of drama in it. I wish I would wear one, soon! These are perfect for a graduation ball or prom night. You will instantly be a scene stealer!

These two dresses could pass as my gown! Oh how I love the details, that shine and glimmer; while the other one is just sweet with all those lace applique.

So here are some of the bridesmaids dresses I'm eye-ing on, some of these dresses are probably on my Pinterest board. Dear friends, are you as excited as me? Lol.

Hope you got inspired as much I did! I would love to know where are you getting your inspirations, leave a link on the comment section below.

Happy weekend!

Wedding Peach + Aisle Style

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Another wedding from my batch, almost every other week, my facebook feed will be filled with my college batchmates tying the knot. Congratulations and best wishes to all!

This wedding is extra special, as it was the wedding of my dear friend, Iwona and I got to attend it. Yipee! I have always loved attending weddings, witnessing the celebration of love of husband and wife, with their families and friends is always a welcome experience for me. I also look forward to the bride’s wedding gown, the outfit of the entourage, even the guests and the wedding decorations. Oh, everything is just beautiful and put up for perfection.

And, of course, this is another opportunity for me to dress up and dolled up. The theme is peach and green. Finding the right dress for this occasion was not easy for me; I honestly am not sure what outfit is proper to a wedding as I think the last time I attended was in 2013 and the rest was when I was one of the flower girls. Haha! I decided to be compliant with the theme on my search for that appropriate outfit. Luckily, on the brink of me just settling down for nude tones dress, I found this dress on Meg for only Php499 or less than USD10. What a treat!

Here is my wedding outfit!

This church decorations was actually for the next wedding, good thing, there was enough time for us for a quick photo shoot.

Since, the store I bought my dress did not have an online store. I made sure to look one for you, my dear readers, presenting Aisle Style, it's an online store that offers dresses for different occasions and specializes on dresses for wedding. Here are my favorites from their 2017 bridesmaid dresses, for more selections, click here.

Their short bridesmaid dresses are perfect for garden wedding and even for other formal occasions. The green satin dress would have been perfect for Iwona's wedding.

Oh, look at these dresses, I bet they are more gorgeous looking when you wear them. This mint lace and tulle dress is so sweet and sexy, I wish I could wear one. Invite me again, friends!!! Haha. For more of these lovely lace bridesmaid dresses, click here.

What I love about their online store is that they show you how their bridesmaid dresses would look like in groups. High five to that!

Congratulations again to Wowo and Jimz! Wishing you a happy married life!

A REMARKABLE 2015 IT IS!

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Hey there guys, hope you're still around. I know I've been on hiatus for quite a long time, that feels forever; but I am back now!!! I believe I am catching up to this new life I'm having . The transition is really craaaazzzyyyy (exageration is quite needed in that word)!

As this blog has been my resting and happy place at some down time moments in my life, I would like to share with you all what kept me occupied this past few months. Are you ready for my revelations? Well, here they goes, and it will be straighforward so don't get to shocked (like I did.lol):

1. I am going to be a mother.
You read it right! Honestly, this has been the biggest blessing and challenge I have in my life; and I'm still going through it. I must say, that my family and friends have been very supportive and positive with this big change; I couldn't thank them enough.
2. I am no more a Miss.
Yes, I got married a few days ago. It was a simple and intimate celebration of our love with family and friends. That day was still so surreal. Marrying your best friend is probably the best and only thing you need to do for your heart and life.
With all these revelations, I want to share with you a few of the photos at our wedding.
